Trained at the Sriram Bharatiya Kala
Kendra, Delhi, Ranjana Gauhar is a senior disciple of
Guru Mayadhar Raut. Her other Gurus in Odissi Style
was Srinath Raut and Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has
received scholarship of Sahitya Kala Parisad, Delhi
for dance.
Rajana Gauhar has been performing about
two decadeds and has featured in several dance
festivals in India including the Khajuraho, the Ganga
Festival and others.
Apart from performing solo Odissi
Ranjana Gauhar has choreographed dance dramas based
on Odissi and Chhaus styles on traditional as well as
contemporary issues. She has set up the Utsav
education and Cultural Society for service to the
arts.
