Srimati
Paushali Mukherjee intially received dance training
with Shree Muralidhar Majhi in Calcutta and later
came under the guidance Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra.She
also took lessons in dance from Shrimati Sanjukta
Panigrahi and Shrimati Kalanidhi Narayan.
An abled
teacher in Odissi style Shrimati Mukherjee is a
lecturer in dance in Rabindra Bharati University,
Calcutta. For years, she assisted her guru in his
work of teaching and choreographying in Calcutta and
is now established on her own. Since early 1980s she
has performed in several cultural centres and dance
festivals in India. She is proficient in playing
Pakhawaj.
